Kansas Highway Patrol Launches Mobile Accident Reports

Access accident reports on-the-go from any smartphone or tablet

TOPEKA, KS – Kansas Highway Patrol has updated their popular Kansas Online Accident Reporting application. Developed in collaboration with Kansas.gov, the enhanced application allows users to instantly conduct a search of accident reports from a smart phone, tablet or desktop for a minimal fee. The enhancements also include a new sign in process, which allows users to manage their Kansas.gov services with a single set of credentials.

“The Kansas Online Accident reporting application instituted by the Kansas Highway Patrol has been very successful in allowing the public to access accident reports online. In continuing our endeavor to improve accessibility to accident reports, we have extended the availability and convenience of the application. We have developed a more efficient sign-on process and users now have the ability to access the system by a mobile device. We feel these enhancements improve the system substantially and continues our mission to serve the public,” said Darian Dernovish, Kansas Highway Patrol Legal Counsel and Records Custodian.

The state of Kansas allows the release of Kansas accident reports to the general public. These online reports are fee-based where both the fee and the extent of information released are dependent on Kansas statutes and regulations.
