Information Network of Kansas

The Information Network of Kansas Inc. (INK) was created by an act of the Kansas State Legislature (K.S.A. 74-9301) in 1990 to provide electronic access to state, county, local government information and services.

As the birthplace of electronic government, Kansas has continued to lead the nation with access, convenience and innovation. With access to over 400 governmental applications and services via the Internet, the list of services grows nearly everyday.

INK continues to explore new information delivery technologies and provides the single gateway to Kansas government information and services through the official home page of Kansas, Kansas.gov.

Cost Effective and Efficient Government Service

INK is a model for public/private cooperation. It is a service administered for the good of the public, while benefiting from the entrepreneurial spirit and efficiencies found in private business.

INK is governed by a 10-member Board of Directors whose makeup represents both private executives and high ranking public officials, effectively partnering the data owners (public) and the data users (private) toward a common goal.
