    • Funding

The Kansas Board of Regents is responsible for the administration of the state-funded grants and scholarships for higher education. Student financial aid includes grants, scholarships, and loans. It can be available through the federal and state government, private corporations, and philanthropic organizations.

    • Learning

Kansas is one of the many states involved in implementing the Common Core State Standards for educators and students. This effort represents the first time nearly every state has set common expectations for what students should know and be able to do prior to graduation.

    • Researching

Kansas State Libraries have collaborated to provide a one-stop-shop for student research resources. These resources include, but are not limited to, general knowledge research, historical databases, specified curriculum information, and standardized test preparation.

    • Teaching

All Kansas K-12 students have teachers with subject matter knowledge and teaching skills necessary to help all students achieve high academic standards regardless of their individual learning styles or needs. All public elementary or secondary teachers employed to teach core academic subjects should be "highly qualified" prior to the first day of employment.
