MONTHLY MEETING INFO
September 9, 2008 @ 6:00 p.m. is the next regularly scheduled
HALA monthly dinner meeting. CLE program speaker is Wally
Underhill, Executive Director of the Kansas Lawyers Assistance
Program which was established in 2001 by the Supreme Court
of Kansas. Mr. Underhill's presentation will focus on how
the program serves the legal community regarding difficulties
encountered with physical or mental illness, substance abuse
or emotional distress. Attorneys, law students and paralegals
are especially noted as being exposed to these stressors.

Regular Monthly Meeting Location: Doubletree Hotel, College
Boulevard and Alternate 69 Highway, Overland Park, KS
Meeting time: 6 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. (2nd Tuesday of the Month)
Member meeting and dinner costs $21.00.
Non-member meeting and dinner costs $25.00.
HALA has successfully worked with the Doubletree Hotel to provide
the option of a vegetarian meal choice for those attending our dinner
meetings. Make your wishes known when making your meeting reservation.
There is no additional cost for this choice.
Meeting Registration: To register for the regular monthly dinner
meeting, telephone Program Chair Lauren Butler @816.753.6006 or
by e-mail: lauren@spradleyriesmeyer.com.
Cancellations must be made by noon on Friday before the meeting;
otherwise full payment is due. Late reservations can be made until
noon on Monday prior to the the meeting.
