All information received from this site is protected by Kansas and Federal law and must be used in accordance with the following rules and regulations. By accepting the following terms, I consent to the restrictions imposed on the receipt and use of Kansas criminal history record information.

• State: Kansas Statutes Annotated (K.S.A.) 22-4701 et. seq.
  Kansas Administrative Regulations (K.A.R.) 10-12-1
   
• I will disclose the information received only to persons who have a clear and distinct "need to know," and ensure that the information is used only for the purpose for which provided.
   
• If I use the information to justify an adverse action against the subject of the record check, I will advise the subject and provide an opportunity for the subject to review the record check. If the subject disputes the completeness or accuracy of the information, I will provide opportunity for the subject to challenge and correct the record.
   
• I understand that if I use this information to injure, harass or commit a criminal act against any person, I may be subject to criminal prosecution (K.S.A. 22-4707).
   
• Other than for proper uses as described above, I will secure the information received and maintain its confidentiality.
   
• I will indemnify and hold harmless the Kansas Bureau of Investigation and its employees, including their heirs, executors, administrators, personal representatives, successors and assigns from and against any and all causes of actions, claims, demands, suits, rights and other proceedings of any nature which seek damages or other remedies arising from the providing of criminal history information.
