CERT Overview

Community Emergency Response Team (CERT)

Community EmergencCommunity Emergency Response Team Logo The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program helps train people to be better prepared to respond to emergency situations in their communities. CERT members give critical support to first responders in emergencies, provide immediate assistance to victims, organize spontaneous volunteers at a disaster site, and collect disaster intelligence to support first responder efforts.

Our Mission

To educate citizens to be better prepared to take care of themselves, family, friends and neighbors in the event of a disaster of any type until trained emergency responders can arrive. To establish CERT as emergency management resources, volunteer pools to help during an emergency, and to perform projects that improve a community's preparedness.
