Husker Du Familje (hoo-sker doo fa-meal-ya) has been delighting audiences young and old, far and wide with their amazing mix of authentic folk songs, hilarious original songs, beautiful tandards, doo wap, barbershop, madrigals and other songs from the past. Husker Du is Norwegian for "do you remember?" Do you remember not only the songs but also the time when families had fun together and sang together??

Husker Du Familje is "one talented family" with as many as 7 talented musicians on stage. You will be charmed by their personality, delighted by their music and captivated by their musicianship. Husker Du Familje promises you a time apart from the world and it's worries ........

A Time That You Won't Forget !

Husker Du Familje also offers a special children's program as well as a very special Christmas program that recalls what the Holy Day truly represents!

This is truly a Family! Six young people appear with their 'Dad', Jimm. 'Dad' has a degree in Piano Performance and has written two albums of children's songs; The Huge Hairy Horse, and The Huge Hairy Horse Comes Back With 26 More. These albums/cassettes feature 26 alphabet songs, each, to assist youngsters with learning phonics. They are fun for children as well as their parents. The young people in this performing group have been performing these songs in costumes representing the various characters in the songs since 1990.

Since 1995 the group's repertoire has widened to include a mix of the type of songs mentioned above, songs that many older people love and cherish and would like their families to know and cherish; Fun Family songs, Singalong songs!

Husker Du Familje recently completed their latest album / cassette entitled, Husker Du Familje Favorites, which includes the songs we especially love to sing. In addition to wonderful harmonies and a wide repertoire, Husker Du Familje brings instrumentation to their performances with a String Bass, Lap Steel, Mandolin, Banjo, Rhythm Guitar and Lead Guitar in flat and finger pickin' styles. There is also the employ of a number of 'Fun' acoustical instruments that add to the enjoyment provided by this great family of Entertainers.

Our audiences have a great time and are truly the beneficiaries of Harmony and Musicianship that only the wonderful genes of Family can produce!
