We exists solely for the promotion of acoustic music. We welcome anyone that enjoys acoustic music whether they participate by watching and listening or by jumpin' in and playing themselves.
We meet the fourth Sunday of the month during the months of October to April. We meet in Auburn at the Auburn Community Center (See Note 1). Meeting time is 1-5 p.m. Organized groups perform in a large room with a stage. Four separate rooms are available for jammin'.
In June we put on the Prairie Lake Pickin' Party, our own
festival featuring local and regional bands and plenty of
pickin' around the festival grounds. Prairie Lake is one mile
north and 3.5 miles east of Holton, Kansas. The city has built
a small stage in some shade trees of this nice lake. We usually
have our annual membership meeting there, and a band scramble
to give pickers a chance to meet new people and do short stage
performances.
