BAND CONCERT TOUR HIGHLIGHTS HISTORY OF THE KANSAS NATIONAL GUARD
The 35th Infantry Division Band, the official band of the Kansas Army National
Guard, has announced the schedule for its 2005 Kansas National Guard Heritage
Tour.
In honor of the 150th anniversary of the Kansas National Guard, performances
will feature period music and re-enactors from the Civil War through Operation
Iraqi Freedom. The re-enactors will read excerpts from actual letters and diaries
of Kansas Army and Air National Guard service members from the appropriate period.
"We're looking forward to seeing all the people in these communities and
sharing our Kansas National Guard heritage," said Patterson.
All concerts begin at p.m. and are free and open to the public.
