KANSAS NATIONAL GUARD TO SHOWCASE AMERICAN MOTORCYCLIST ASSOCIATION PRO BIKE NO 54 NATIONAL GUARD JORDAN SUZUKI GSX-R1000 ACROSS TOPEKA

The Kansas National Guard will be hosting American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) Pro Bike displays at multiple locations in Topeka, Kan., from May 28 to 31, 2009.

These displays will feature the No. 54 National Guard Jordan Suzuki GSX-R1000 AMA Pro American Superbike ridden by Geoff May.
May earned his first and second wins in 2008 as a professional with Michael Jordan Motorsports, at Miller Motorsports Park and Road Atlanta respectively, and finished in the top 10 of every race he entered.

The Army National Guard is the presenting sponsor for the AMA Pro Bike Series, with races at Heartland Park Topeka in August.

Kansas Guard member and motorcycle racer, Staff Sgt. James Hubbard, will attend the events, answering questions on the Kansas National Guard’s involvement in motorcycle racing. Hubbard and other members will show selected equipment and discuss the Guard experience.
The bikes will be on display at the following locations which are all free to the public:

• May 28, 2009 – 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  Free State Honda, 4806 SW Topeka Blvd, Topeka
• May 29, 2009, 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. (times subject to change)
  Heartland Park Topeka, 7530 SW Topeka Blvd, Topeka
• May 30, 2009, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  Extreme Cycle, 1209 NW Kansas Ave (Bldg C), Topeka
• May 31, 2009, 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. (times subject to change)
  Heartland Park Topeka, 7530 SW Topeka Blvd, Topeka
