"Growing Kansas Entrepreneurs" is the goal of the KSBDC. We accomplish this goal by assisting established firms, growth companies, and start-up enterprises to meet the challenges in today's evolving global marketplace.

Popular Topics

Agritourism Workshops
Farmers, business owners and entrepreneurs interested in agritourism are invited to attend a five-part agritourism course in August at the Netawaka Community Building in Netawaka, Kan. The course, which comprises five consecutive Monday night sessions, will provide an overview of agritourism, including how rural entrepreneurs can start a new agritourism business or incorporate agritourism into an existing business.

The course will be led by Jan Janzten, Director of Rural Tourism Development for the Flint Hills Resource Conservation & Development and owner of Kansas Flint Hills Adventures, and staff from the Kansas Small Business Development Center.

Attention Veterans:
The Kansas Small Business Development Center realizes that veterans are significant contributors to our economy. In an effort to learn more about the needs of Kansas veteran business owners and future veteran entrepreneurs, KSBDC invites veterans to take a five question survey. The information obtained from the survey will be used to plan three conferences that will be held later this year. The purpose of the conferences is to provide veterans with information about starting or maintaining a business and to introduce them to resources available to assist them in many areas of entrepreneurship.
