66-14-2. Definitions.

The terms used in this section shall have the following meanings:

(a) "Activity" means any course or activity which has a clear purpose and objective and which maintains, improves, or expands the technical professional skills and knowledge of the applicant.

(b) "Contact hour" means one clock hour of not less than 50 minutes.

(c) "Continuing education unit" (CEU) means a unit of credit customarily used for continuing education courses.

(d) "Dual licensee" means a person who is licensed in two or more technical professions.

(e) "Professional development hours" (PDH) means a contact hour of not less than 50 minutes of instruction or
presentation which meets the requirements of these regulations.

(f) "Sponsor" means an individual, organization, association, institution or other entity which provides an
educational activity for the purpose of fulfilling the continuing educational requirements of these regulations.
