There are several government technology awards given throughout the year by various organizations. Kansas.gov works to submit nominations on a regular basis. Award nominations help make your service or site more visible and winning awards provides greater visibility. Not only does winning give you bragging rights, it also makes more people aware of the site or service.

If Kansas.gov develops an application for your agency and we believe it is worthy of nomination, we will work with you to write the nomination. Worthiness is based mostly on adoption rate and innovativeness of the service or service creation.

To help with these nominations, we ask agencies to keep track of costs, savings, adoption, customer satisfaction, employee satisfaction and any other benefits of the online service.
