- Do I need to mail anything to Kansas Department of Agriculture (KDA) when I renew online?
No. There is no need to submit the paper renewal application to KDA when using online renewal. Your license will be mailed to you within 1-2 weeks of your online renewal submission.
- Is the online renewal application secure?
Yes. Our online partner, Kansas.gov, has offered online government transactions since 1991. Since then, millions of dollars’ worth of e-government transactions have taken place safely and securely. Utilizing the SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) protocol for internet transaction security, all the information in a transaction is protected from capture by a third party, ensuring server authentication, data encryption and message integrity at every step of the process.
- Why is a fee charged to use this service?
Our online transaction processing is part of a standalone network, Kansas.gov, that hosts over 100,000 pages of government information, enabling more efficient and more direct interaction between the public and state government. The convenience fee enables Kansas.gov to program, host and support the government website— and to perform secure transactions on behalf of KDA—at no cost to the agency or the local government. Since only those who use the service are charged a convenience fee, we believe this is a more equitable means of making online renewal services available without increasing government overhead.

- When does my license expire?
