The House and Senate Conference Committee on the
Pay Plan for State employees for FY2008 have come to an agreement.
The Pay Plan for FY2008 will consist of the following components:
- An $860 bonus on December 14, 2007 for all employees.
- This bonus will be distributed to unclassified employees
through a merit pool.
- This bonus will be included for KPERS calculations.
- A 2.0% general increase for all employees effective at the
beginning of the Fiscal Year.
- This increase will be distributed to unclassified employees
through a merit pool.
Funding for an increase to the longevity bonus to $50 a year for
all eligible employees; and
A 5% increase (or one pay grade) for employees in classes identified
by the Hay Group salary survey, and non-benchmark classes in the
same class series, as being 25% or more behind market.
