Continuing Education Audit Selection and Process

A random continuing education audit of ten percent of the license renewals will be completed. The licensing database has pre-selected ten percent of the licenses due to renew prior to renewal notices being mailed.  Whether a license is renewed via paper application or via the on-line process does not affect whether or not that particular renewal application will be audited.

When utilizing the on-line renewal option, licensees whose renewals have been randomly pre-selected will receive an audit notification message at the end of the process at the Payment Confirmation Page.

If you receive the message indicating your renewal application has been selected for audit you will receive the instructions below:

Audit Notification and Instructions

Your license renewal application has been randomly selected for review.  Please submit the following information for each continuing education seminar you attended to meet continuing education licensure requirements:

For programs that were prior approved and the KDADS prior approval number or KDADS sponsorship number appears on the certificate, please submit the following:

  • Certificate of Attendance

For programs that were not prior approved, or the KDADS prior approval number or KDADS sponsorship number does not appear on the certificate, please submit the following:

  • Certificate of Attendance
  • Objectives, Course Content
  • Time Frame Agenda

Continuing education audits are completed during the renewal process rather than after the process.  The license is not considered renewed until the audit process has been completed.  It is important that all requested materials be submitted timely so there is not a delay in renewal of your license.
