Investments in Major Projects and Comprehensive Training Program (IMPACT)

This program assisted new and expanding businesses with their workforce training needs. It also was used for job retention projects that had compelling economic benefit for Kansas. IMPACT was typically reserved for projects involving at least 100 new jobs and paying higher than average wages. For job retention projects, qualifying firms must have retrained a minimum of 250 existing employees. IMPACT was funded with bond proceeds. The program was discontinued in 2011.
