The Evidence Control Centers are responsible for the safekeeping of all evidence submitted from across the state to the laboratory for examination in criminal cases.

Case Inquiry and Evidence Prelog
In an effort to increase efficiency and productivity, the KBI Forensic Science Laboratory has a Laboratory Case Inquiry and Evidence Prelog system available for our customers. The Prelog system is available to help expedite the evidence submission process. The Case Inquiry system provides law enforcement agencies access to specific information about the status of evidence submitted to the KBI Forensic Science Laboratory for analysis.
